Michael B. Thomas is a Leeds based musician who publishes his own music, alongside being one of the members of the band 'China Steps'
the brief
Thomas approached me with one of his debut singles 'Team Leader', seeking a vaporwave style music video to accompany the song's release.
the solution
After taking inspiration from his album cover, and adhering to the vaporwave style that he wanted to imbue in the video, I produced a series of short animation loops that focused on atmosphere and colour - with a constant reference to an entity being chased to reiterate the song's theme on guilt and predation.
